The Wado Academy was founded by Masafumi Shiomitsu so that Wado practitioners would have an organization that is not politically motivated. The mission of the Wado Academy is to teach the highest level of Wado-Ryu putting correct technique, proper attitude and loyalty to Budo ethics ahead of finance and political status. The American Wado Academy currently is based in Florida with schools in Tampa Bay, Orlando and Winter Haven areas.
